The Choma Museum and Craft Centre was established in 1988. It is found in Choma, in southern province of Zambia, on Livingstone road. The museum aims at preserving the heritage of the Tonga tribe.
The institution has economic and cultural objectives. Through the production and selling of the crafts, it hopes to empower the community and preserve the cultural heritage of the Tonga people.

The crafts projects of the museum, among other things are involved in the production of local crafts such as baskets, beadwork, carving, etc. This provides an alternative form of income to the local people and at the same time preserves the local traditional skills.
