Gwabi River Lodge offers friendly accommodation on the banks of the Kafue River. The lodge is open all year round.
The lodge is 6 kilometres from where the Kafue River empties into the mighty Zambezi River and about 2 hours’ drive from Lusaka.
The offers nine en-suite air-conditioned chalets which accommodates two adults and a maximum of up to four in a family arrangement. Camping facilities with barbecue and ablution facilities are also available.
At Gwabi, you can indulge yourself in a lot of activities including fishing, birding and game viewing.
The ecosystem supports a large number of bird species, making the area very exceptionally ideal for birding safaris. Birding lovers will enjoy the unspoilt scenery that prevails at the Lodge and surrounding area.
The Kafue and Zambezi Rivers are abundant in fish species. Gwabi offers fishing safaris and fishing holidays. Boats and Canoes are available for hire. So, if you wanted to perfect your angling skills, the Lodge is the best place for you. Guides are on hand to help with your fishing!
Game viewing down the river is very popular at Gwabi and it is an exciting alternative of game viewing. Wildlife is plentiful on the riverbank and the Lodge makes a good setting for a canoeing safari.
