Tamarindtree Zambezi River Lodge is located in one of Zambia's best tiger fishing destinations on the eastern side of the Lower Zambezi National Park.
It offers self-catering and full catering upmarket accommodation facilities with excellent tiger fishing opportunities. Tamarindtree Lodge boasts of having the only campsite in the area.
The Lodge is ideal for Tiger fishing. You can even hire a boat and go tiger fishing in Mpata Gorge. It will be a fishing experience you won’t forget!
Self-catering accommodation is offered in chalets which accommodate a maximum of 6 guests. Cooking facilities include crockery, cutlery, a gas stove and gas fridge with gas provided.
Camping facilities include flush toilets, hot and cold water bush showers and a washing up area. However, there’s no electricity at the camp site.
The Lodge offers great fishing opportunities on the Zambezi River. Most common fish species are Tiger, Cornish Jack, Nkupe, Chessa, Bottlenose and Tilapia (bream).
Tiger fishing is best between September to November, but the fishing season is open from March to November.
About 400 bird species have been recorded in the Zambezi Valley. Sightings of species most common are the Pel's Fishing Owl, Peregrine Falcon, African Skimmers and Bat Hawk.
